Saturday has the potential to be a special day for John Carroll Football.
With a dominant 55-17 win over Ohio Wesleyan last Saturday, the Blue Streaks have clinched at least a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. But a win at Denison on Saturday would secure the title outright.
John Carroll has already clinched the NCAA postseason bid, checking in at #9 in the latest National Power Index (NPI) rankings in addition to being #9 in the AFCA and D3football.com polls. Should JCU win, the Blue Streaks would likely have a first round bye and host a Second Round playoff game on Saturday, November 29 at Don Shula Stadium.
But before that happens, the Blue Streaks first want to beat the Big Red. JCU faces off with Denison at 1 pm on Saturday, marking the first meeting between the two teams since 1981 and just third all-time.
