Greg Roman ’94 has returned to the NFL this offseason, as the veteran coach was recently hired by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Roman will serve as offensive coordinator under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. Roman most recently served as OC for John Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens from 2019-22. During that span, the Ravens boasted the NFL’s best rushing offense over that span (175.2 yards per game).

In 2019, the Associate Press named Roman the NFL’s Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019 by The Associated Press following a banner campaign for the Ravens. That season, Baltimore achieved a franchise-best 14-2 record, while Lamar Jackson garnered MVP honors.
