Entering a new season, the Gridiron Club has several new additions with young alumni joining the Board of Directors.
One of the new members is Luke Brown ‘22.
Once a linebacker for the Blue Streaks, Brown has enjoyed plenty of success after graduation.
Brown has worked as a construction manager for a home builder since graduating with a Business degree from the Boler School. Hailing originally from Pittsburgh, Brown has built homes in Cleveland and Columbus before moving to Charleston, South Carolina to pursue his craft in warmer weather.
Since hanging up the cleats, the Fox Chapel grad has started to compete in endurance events which keeps him busy outside of work. Brown has participated in triathlons, marathons, and local road/trail races. Brown is currently training for his first Ironman distance triathlon in September.
Brown earned four letters at John Carroll. He notched 5 tackles as a freshman in 2018 and 21 tackles as a sophomore in 2019. During the COVID-shortened spring 2021 campaign, Brown appeared in all 3 games.
As a senior in the fall of 2021, Brown played a key role for the Blue Streaks. He finished second on the team in tackles with 52, adding 3 tackles for loss, 2 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 forced fumble.
Brown will bring strong expertise to the board this upcoming year.
