On Monday, John Carroll Athletics held its annual Blue Streak Scholar Dinner.
The keynote speaker was a familiar face: Matt McDonald ’08!
Matt starred for JCU Football as a defensive back, earning OAC Honorable Mention honors in 2007 as a senior. With a 3.28 GPA, he also earned earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District.
Since getting his Business degree at JCU, McDonald has been a success. The Akron native is a Partner for Cerity Partners in the New York office, where he provides a high level of service by focusing on clients’ needs and helping them to adapt to changes in their lives.
From the football team, there were 16 scholar athletes honored: Bricker Thiel, Matt Wrather, Jeremy Bravard, Luke Mazowiecki, William McGee, Grant Myers, Santino Comunale, Michael Dorn, Tyler Thimons, Yanni Volas, Joe Felice, Joe Torok, Brady Leczo, Joe Bova, Jake Phillips, and Nick Peri.
